2023 Collection Drive FOR Meals on Wheels 

Season's greetings! And thank you for your interest in a worthy local cause.

To celebrate this holiday season, our office will be collecting donations for:

Meals on Wheels of Charlottesville-Albemarle
Through Friday, December 8th

We are helping MOW collect items for their annual holiday bags! At the end of the year, they will give their clients a care package filled with helpful seasonal gifts.

About Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels of Charlottesville/Albemarle (MOW) is a non-profit organization that provides nutritious meals and wellness checks to community members with difficulty accessing and preparing food for themselves. These services are crucial for the independence and well-being of many of our elderly and disabled neighbors.

Our firm has so much respect for the services they provide. In addition to sponsoring volunteer luncheons, we take time every Friday to deliver meals. As a result, we see the good this organization does every day!

COLLECTION DETAILS

Please note that all items should be clean, new, and unused. We will not be accepting any items with imagery of weapons, violence, or religious/philosophical iconography.

Items we are collecting:

  • Towel sets – washcloth, hand, and bath
  • Blankets
  • Robes
  • Bar soap
  • Mittens or gloves (range of sizes)
  • Chapstick or lotion
  • Fun bookmarks
  • Pump hand soap
  • Mini LED flashlights
  • 2024 calendar
  • Cozy socks
  • Festive candles
  • Hot water bottles
  • Decorative stickers 

MOW also likes to provide holiday stockings for clients with pets. If you are an animal lover and would like to provide pet items, we are collecting:

  • pet blankets
  • pet toys
  • treats
  • travel water bowls

MONETARY DONATIONS

If you would like to make a monetary donation, we recommend doing so directly to the MOW organization. You can make an online donation with your credit card, or mail a check made payable to Meals on Wheels to:
